Bike service

I’ve just brought my Giant time trial bike back from having a service. Took it along to the new bike shop in Abingdon – Outdoor Traders – website here - really impressed with the service and I look forward to time trialing on a faster “Miss Pink” bike on Sunday :-)

Working hard on my course(s)

I am currently in the process of working on my Internal Verification qualificaion at Abingdon College. This is interesting and a good next step for me in my teaching career, but it’s taking up a lot of time!!!! Am cracking on through it though and hope to be finished in a month or so.

Another course that I am planning on doing in the next few weeks is my Reiki 1 course with Kath at Reiki Ribbons – website here. Very much looking forward to finding out more information about Reiki – will keep you all informed.

Top 5 tips to help stay injury free

Try following these 5 tips to help stay injury free -

1) Stretch regularly – the tighter the muscle the more it will need to be stretched

2) Train smart part 1 – cross train – do something different to give your body a break

3) Train smart part 2 – rest and recover regularly – don’t over do it

4) Drink lots of water – dehydration is a big cause of cramp in muscles

5) Have a massage regularly – to identify tight areas of muscles that need extra stretching, and to help keep the muscles in good condition.

Enjoy training and stay injury free

Laura :-)

Achievements

Ever stopped to think about your best 5 achievements to date? Here’s mine with some photos……a little glimse into the life of Laura :-)

(in no particular order)

1) Being self employed for 5 years

2) Making my wedding dress

3) Wearing the dress :-) And marrying Mike

4) Completing the London Duathlon in 2005 – my first big event – not my hardest or my fastest – but probably the one I am most proud of

5) Having a dog – Helly – now a year and a half old – and looking after something that relies on you to keep them alive and happy

And here’s to the many more achievements and happy memories to come :-)
