Having a personal trainer gives you many benefits and can often help you achieve your goals with exercise and fitness.
Exercise in itself gives lots of benefits. Some of these benefits are: -
Increased sense of wellbeing
Improve muscle tone
Reduced body fat and weight loss
Psychological benefits, including improved self-image and self-esteem
But how can a personal trainer help you achieve these benefits?
There are three main things working with a personal trainer will give you: -
A consultation to assess your goals and previous experience and a fitness evaluation
A personalised exercise programme
Supervised exercise
Please look at the PT At Home 1:1 page for more information on these three things and how they can be of benefit.
If you are thinking about using a personal trainer you may be doing so for many different reasons, you may be looking to loose a few pounds, generally increase your fitness level, just to start getting into exercise, rehab after an injury or illness, just to increase your general health, or maybe more specific reasons, like training for a marathon or another big event or race you are looking to do. Whatever your reason, everyone can get benefits from using a personal trainer.
As a personal trainer I feel I am a coach, role model, educator and cheerleader who will customise a program for you to fit your needs, budget and schedule. Some people may want to use a trainer several times a week; others may just want an occasional check-in with a trainer to get feedback. It really is up to you!
