
If you’ve thought about personal training at home but not sure if you want to do it on a 1:1 basis, why not think about getting a friend or two involved?
I can offer personal training at home on a 1:2 or 1:3 ratio. The programmes won’t be as specific but if you are both or all looking for general fitness while having the social side of exercise this could be perfect for you. You might find that this leads on to exercising on your own or own your own with a personal trainer or you might find you want to carry on with your friends without a personal trainer as you start to motivate each other between you. This is something you probably won’t know to start with but exercising with friends can be rewarding and an enjoyable way to increase your fitness.
Personal training on a 1:2 or 1:3 basis works in the same sort of way as on a 1:1 basis. You will still get a first FREE consultation to meet me and for me to meet you. You will need to make sure you are both or all there at this first consultation and like on a 1:1 basis the consultation will involve discussing your goals and your previous exercise history as well as your medical history. This will decided, like with 1:1 PT if we are happy to work together, but we will also discuss whether a programme will work for both or all of you or if we can adjust it slightly for each person and also if each person will be available at the same time to organise PT sessions or whether that is not possible.
Again like 1:1 PT the second session will involve doing some fitness testing and seeing which exercises you do and don’t like and then from there we will organise how often we meet up and for how long for.
PT 1:2 or 1:3 can be done in a few different ways, it can be done like a circuit class, where one is doing different exercise to the other (i.e. one may be doing a cardio exercise while the other may be doing a strength exercise and then swapping) or you could work through the exercises together or one could be exercising while the other rests and then vice versa. This is something that to start with we will do a mixture of all of them and then you may be happy to keep doing the mixture of a personal preference may be decided!
